The Executive Department of Research promotes the development of research projects by teachers at the PPH Burgenland. It supports participation in national and international congresses and events, scientific qualification work by colleagues as well as cooperation with researchers both in the Teacher Education Network South-East and in the context of other Austrian and international tertiary education institutions.

Executive Department of Research organises specific offers for the further development of research expertise, invites regular exchange on research and development projects and ensures the quality of scientific processes (research applications, feedback procedures and corresponding training programmes).

Executive Department of Research publishes the journal  ph publico and organises the annual research day in order to promote exchange between teachers from all departments and disciplines in the field of research and to establish a broad research culture.
