Erasmus+ und ECHE

Erasmus+ is the EU’s flagship programme in the fields of education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014-2020. The European Commission has launched the new Erasmus+ programme for all European Institutions to improve cooperation between the worlds of work and education. It provides grants and training for about 4 million people and 125 000 institutions.
Erasmus+ supports the creation of a European Higher Education Area (EHEA) through increased learning opportunities abroad for students and teachers. It brings a renewed focus on skills for employment and on improvement of quality in teaching and learning. Erasmus+ also provides exposure to different cultures.
The University College of Teacher Education Burgenland has been awarded the new Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) which will be in use until the end of the Erasmus+ project during the Academic year 2020. It entitles our institution to apply for Erasmus funding for student mobility for studies and for traineeships, as well as for the transnational mobility activities for staff members both Academic and Administrative. The charter allows us also to participate in projects funded under the Erasmus+ programme.
